Case Study Norfolk & Suffolk Animal Trust

Norfolk and Suffolk Animal Trust (NASAT) is a charity organisation that aims to rehome unwanted or abandoned animals in the Norfolk and Suffolk regions of the UK.

The organisation relies on donations and fundraising efforts to provide care and shelter to the animals until they can be placed in their forever homes.

Problem/Challenge:

NASAT faced a challenge with their website as it was outdated, unresponsive, and difficult to navigate. The organisation was unable to showcase their work effectively, and the website did not adequately reflect the charity's brand identity. Moreover, the previous website was not optimised for search engines, and the organisation was not receiving the necessary traffic to achieve their goals.

Goals/Objectives:

The primary objective of the new website was to help NASAT in their rehoming process by showcasing the animals available for adoption, providing necessary information about the adoption process, and encouraging people to support the charity through donations. In addition, the new website had to be easy to navigate, mobile-responsive, and optimised for search engines to increase website traffic.

Approach/Solution:

Our web design company worked with NASAT to understand their requirements, goals, and budget. We started the project by developing a new sitemap and wireframe for the website. We used Duda as the Content Management System (CMS) for the site, which provided NASAT with an easy-to-use platform to update and manage their website.

We created an attractive, mobile-responsive, and user-friendly design, ensuring that visitors could quickly find the information they need. We also created an online adoption form that allows visitors to apply to adopt animals directly from the website. We optimised the website for search engines, making it easier for visitors to find the site and increasing the chances of the organisation being discovered by potential adopters or donors.

Results/Outcomes:

Since the new website went live, NASAT has seen a significant increase in website traffic. The organisation is now over 4000 visits per month, which is a significant improvement from their previous website.

The new website's improved user experience has also led to an increase in adoption inquiries and applications, as visitors can now easily browse and apply for pets online. Moreover, the new website's optimised search engine capabilities have led to an increase in the organisation's visibility, enabling them to reach a wider audience of potential adopters and donors.

Overall, the new website has helped NASAT achieve its goals by providing a better platform to showcase their work, encourage donations, and facilitate the rehoming process for abandoned and unwanted animals in the Norfolk and Suffolk regions.

The website's success has also helped increase public awareness of the organisation and their mission, further strengthening their ability to help animals in need.
